How mica mined by kids in Madagascar ends up in products used by millions of Americans. Impact of report resulted in the addition of Malagasy mica added to the the U.S. Department of Labor’s 2020 “List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor” and a $4.5 million DOL grant to reduce child labor in mica-producing communities in Madagascar.
